What’s the story?

April 8th 2024, after waiting for 25 years, moon, sun and weather are perfectly aligned. Back in 1999, I’m in France with my family about to witness a total solar eclipse. That was without counting on a heavy cloud cover that appeared right when totality happened. Since then I have been waiting to see one. Crossed fingers and refreshing my weather forecast a month in advance, I was now sure nothing was going to stand between me and the dark sun. I still drove a couple hours east of Montréal to avoid the high clouds expected for mid afternoon. At 3.29pm the sun and the moon were perfectly aligned for the most amazing display I have ever seen. Some of the most intense 3min15 in my life!
